November 8th was 2022 Midterm Election day. It was also Leesville Student Council Election day. We made up paper ballots and set up voting booths. The goal was to give the students a realistic voting experience. Leesville’s 2022 Student Council:

On Friday afternoon, third grade got the opportunity to go to the preschool classroom and read. They each got to pick their own preschooler to read to anywhere in the room. The students enjoyed reading books and interacting with the preschoolers!

Fourth grade has been studying uses of energy in science. Today, they went coal mining with chocolate chip cookies. They observed the effects mining has on the environment!
